The other thing to keep in mind is that Christians of whatever stripe who consider their Old Testament to be just as divine and godly as their New should–if they are being consistent with themselves and with their argument–be celebrating Purim as well, since they believe that Esther was commanded by the same ‘god’ which they claim was the father of Jesus to do what she is said to have done within the book of Esther, and ESPECIALLY the Christian Identity nutcases who believe themselves to be the dna descendants of the Hebrews and She-brews of yesteryear, including Esther and Mordechai.
