The Judensau sculpture, St Mary’s Church, Wittenberg

Sabba – Still think it is the Muslims who are destroying our heritage? Still think Islam is our enemy and Judaism is our only friend and part of the greater ‘judeo-Christian’ brotherhood? Will the German stand up and fight back or will they allow the jews to continue destroy their country and heritage? Will they stand up and resist the only occupier which has been raping them and robbing them blind for centuries or can they only show what kind of manly men they are in front of the ‘Muslim’ refugees? Will they allow the sculpture to be removed like they allowed a priest to be sacked because of his ‘self declared hatred of the jews’ as happened in Bremen back in May or will they continue to show their sense of pride and patriotism by burning down refugee centers? Our attitude to Islam is THE mother of all litmus tests: whoever believes Islam is an equal or greater threat to us than judaism has failed to understand anything at all, regardless how ‘jew-wise’ they like to believe they are.

THE ALGEMEINER -Ahead of festivities next year to mark the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, calls are being made to remove an antisemitic sculpture from the façade of a church in Wittenberg, Germany where Martin Luther preached, Christianity Today reported on Wednesday.

One outer corner of St. Mary’s Church, the report said, features a “14th-century sandstone sculpture of a pig with two people in identifiably medieval Jewish hats suckling at its teats and another holding a piglet’s ear.” Furthermore, “[a]n additional Jewish person lifts the tail while looking into the sow’s rear.”

Inscribed above the sculpture are the words “Rabini Shem Hamphoras” —  which Christianity Today called a “nonsensical reference to the Jewish appellation of God’s name, added after Luther’s time” that “quotes a derogatory comment in one of Luther’s writings.”

74-year-old Lutheran Sister Joela Krüger — described as a leader of the campaign to remove the sculpture from the church — was quoted as saying, “The Judensau (Jewish pig) grieves people because our Lord is blasphemed. And also the Jews and Israel are blasphemed by showing such a sculpture.”

According to the report, around 30 such “Jewish pig” sculptures remain on churches around Europe, mostly in Germany.

Around 80,000 people visit St. Mary’s Church — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — annually, the report said, and the sculpture in question was recently cleaned up “as part of a 7.5-million-euro church restoration effort” in preparation for next year’s celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation that are expected to draw one million tourists to Wittenberg.

Luther — the initiator of the Protestan Reformation — sought “to suppress the Jews, to make Jewish life impossible [and] to expel them from the places where Christians live,” University of Göttingen Professor Thomas Kaufmann was quoted as saying. And in the 20th century, the report said, Nazi propagandists made use of Luther’s antisemitic sentiments.

In November 1988 — on the 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht — the church installed a Holocaust memorial plaque “to counteract the ‘Judensau,’” the report noted.

A local German Jewish leader told Christianity Today that the sculpture should be kept on the church to remind people of antisemitism.

“We think that the sculpture represents a testimony of medieval thinking and Christian architectural tradition,” Max Privorozki, chairman of the executive committee of the association of Jewish communities in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, was quoted as saying.

“There is no doubt that the 14th-century ‘Judensau’ sculpture at Wittenberg is unseemly, obscene, insulting, offensive, libelous, and a portrayal of hate speech and anti-Semitism and that it defames Jewish people and their faith. However, it should be seen within the context of the time period in which it was made.”

  1. They don’t care about historical accuracy … and people today are conditioned to live in the now, never consider the quickly revised and erased past….. how can you remember what you forget?
THIS is the imposition of the JWO/NWO right under our noses….

  2. “Jesus was the first anti-Semite.”
Actually, from the dawn of human history, anyone who was genuinely decent, courageous, and compassionate was ipso facto an enemy of the Jews.

“Judensau” sculptures began appearing in the early 1300s. About 25 of them still survive in Europe, mainly in Germany, but they are almost unrecognizable, as the Jews have defaced them. For example, in the photo above, the Jews left the pig intact (as an insult to Christianity) but they chiseled off the heads of the Jewish figures.
Almost all of the sculptures depicted a Jew peering into the pig’s anus. According to Martin Luther, this symbolized Jews peering into the Talmud for their inspiration.
Speaking of Luther, I’m surprised that the Jews have not yet demanded that all Lutherans worldwide be exterminated in the interests of “tolerance.”

  3. The Germans still carrying the monkey on their backs regarding their past. Not so much the Austrians. What the German people need again is a new Fuehrer to get them going again.
Right now they happend to be guts less confused and the today’s Government is playing
political Soccer with them regarding the refugees who are not willing to take on German customs.

  4. “The Sun has never shone on a people more blodthirsty and vengeful than they(Joooos) are”. The legendary Martin Luther

  5. Um…Jesus was a Jew, his Mother a Jewess, his earthly father a Jew and if you trace his lineage from his mothers side and his earthly fathers side, you will find they were all Jews and many of them converted from gentiles to the Jewish faith of trust in the Messiah to come. Jesus told the woman at the well, “we Jews know what we worship” meaning they had a clear understanding of the sacrifice and what it meant, a thing that Samaritans had half believed. He also went to the synagogue every sabbath the Word of God says, and stood up to read, and in Matthew 23 gave scathing rebukes to the people that stood in high places and taught others to do things that were not in the word of God, he didn’t say disrespect the elders but said that they were teaching traditions in stead of the word of God to the people – isn’t that happening in many churches today? Traditions are held up as revered and the Word of God is neglected for mans traditions. Look deeply at the meaning behind his words. He was a Jew. He said “All that they say, do, give your tithes but don’t do after their deeds, for they say and do not” in other words they acted out that they were religious and in awe of God but had secret lives. Take the example of the woman that was brought to Jesus as being caught in the very act of sinning. Jesus bent down and wrote in the sand and one by one, beginning with the oldest they went away and the woman looked around and was amazed that they were gone, she expected stones to fall at any moment, but Jesus said, who condemns thee? She said, no man Lord. He said, neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more. WHAT HE WROTE IN THE SAND was their PERSONAL SINS, not their heritage. That woman was a Jewess also. It was not the heritage he was concerned about but the soul. Hypocrites he denounced no matter whom they were. Even his disciples who were also Jewish and whom he sent out two by two to announce the kingdom of God, these Jewish disciples he told off a few times for their attitudes and behavior being wrong. Not their heritage. Where is it written that he rebuked Peter for being a Jew? He rebuked him for his lack of faith. He rebuked his disciples for wanting to call fire down from heaven on the Samaritans who didn’t want him to come into their village. It was the attitude he rebuked, not their heritage. And why did God the Father, whom was one with Christ, send his son to the Jews, if he hated them? Why not make him a Philistine or Moabite? because he wanted him trained in the knowledge that had been passed down faithfully and in its purity from Patriarch and Prophet of the people whom had held the knowledge of God and his son for centuries.
It would behoove all Christians to act in accordance with their faith and love one another as God for Christ sake hath loved us. Many Jewish leaders and rabbis turned to the faith after the crucifixion and even Joseph of Arimethea and Nicodemus, rulers in high standing, were converted to the faith. This faith, they were converted to, was to accept the offering of Jesus in our stead. His death instead of ours, his life, given to us.
This hating of the Jews isn’t right. They are humans, made in the image of God. Abraham was the father of the Jewish race and he was called the friend of God. Moses was Jewish. The prophets were Jewish. The Jews have carried the truth of God down the ages, and were called as a people to let the truth be known to all the world. They signally failed in their duty, but can we fail now in ours? To show the love of God to the world??? No one would want a statue of themselves cast in this light put up anywhere. NO one. Whatever their background. I didn’t know that Luther said these things about the Jews, but it is surprising. Jesus himself said to the Jewish leaders of his day, ye search the scriptures, for in them you think you will find eternal life, and these very scriptures speak of me. It was their ignorance and rejection of Christ and his words that led him to denounce them. Not their heritage, which was also His. If we do the same thing, have the scriptures, have Martin Luther as an idol, and think we will have eternal life, we will be the same as they, deceived, no matter our background, we will miss eternal life because we did not accept the atonement (at one ment – at one with God through Jesus blood) and will find ourselves standing shoulder to shoulder with those who rejected the message Jesus came to give.
I come that they may have life and more abundantly. John 10:10
ed note–and while we are quoting bible verses in trying to make the case that the Jews are just swell and that we should deal with as any other group of people, let us here at TUT throw a few into the soup as well–
‘I will pronounce my judgment on these people (the Jews) because of their wickedness in forsaking me…
I brought you into a fertile land, but you came and defiled my land and made my inheritance detestable…
The priests did not ask ‘Where is the Lord?’ …
Those who deal with the law did not know me and the leaders rebelled against me…
Therefore I bring charges against you, your children and against your children’s children…
These people have forsaken me, the spring of living water…
Your wickedness will punish you and your backsliding will rebuke you…
Long ago you broke off your yoke and said ‘I will not serve you!’ Indeed on every high hill, you lay down as a prostitute…
Why did you turn against me and become a corrupt, wild vine?
Although you wash yourself with an abundance of soap the stain of your guilt is still before me…
As a thief is disgraced only when caught, so too is the house of Israel disgraced…they, their kings and officials, priests and prophets have turned their backs to me and not their faces…
You have all rebelled against me…
In vain did I punish these people and yet they did not respond to correction…
Your sword has devoured your prophets like a ravening lion…
These people have forgotten me…Even the worst of women can learn from your ways…
On your clothes men find the lifeblood of the innocent poor, and yet in spite of all this you dare to say ‘I am innocent!’
But I will pass judgment upon you, O Israel…You have lived as a prostitute with many lovers. Look up to the barren heights and see, is there any place where you haven’t been ravaged? By the roadside you sat, waiting for lovers. You have defiled the land with your prostitution and wickedness. You have the brazen look of a prostitute and refuse to blush with shame…
These people are fools…They do not know me. They are senseless children and have no understanding. They are skilled in evil and know not how to do good…
Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem…Look around and search her squares…If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth I will forgive this city…
Therefore a lion from the forest will attack them…a wolf from the desert will ravage them…a leopard will lie in wait near their towns to tear to pieces any who venture out, for their rebellion is great and their backslidings many…
Why should I forgive you? Your children have forsaken me. I supplied all their needs and yet they committed adultery and thronged the houses of prostitutes…Should I not punish them for this? Should I not avenge myself upon a nation such as this?
‘O house of Israel’ declares the Lord,
‘I am bringing a distant nation against you,
    An ancient and enduring nation,
A people whose language you do not know and whose speech you do not understand…
They will devour your harvests, sons and daughters, your flocks and herds…
With the sword they will utterly destroy the fortified cities in which you trust…
Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see and ears but do not hear…
Should you not fear me? Should you not tremble in my presence?
Among these people (the Jews) are wicked men who lie in wait like men who snare birds…Their house are full of deceit, they have become rich and powerful and have grown fat and sleek and their evil deeds have no limit…
They defend neither the orphans nor the poor…
Should I not punish them for this? Should I not avenge myself upon a nation such as this?
A horrible thing has happened in this land of Israel…
The prophets tell lies and the priests rule by their own authority and my people love it this way…
Therefore this is what the Lord says of Jerusalem–‘This city must be punished, for it is filled with oppression…
As a well pours out its water so Jerusalem pours out her wickedness…Violence and destruction resound in her and her sickness is forever before me…
Take warning, O Jerusalem, or I will make your land desolate so no one can live in it…
And yet, their ears remain closed and the word of the Lord is offensive to them. They find no pleasure in it…
From the least to the greatest, all are greedy for gain, prophet and priest alike, all practice deceit…
The leaders dress the wound of these people as though it were not serious, and yet, are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all…They do not even know how to blush…
Therefore they will fall among the fallen and will be brought down when I punish them…
I will bring an end to the sounds of joy in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem, for the land will become desolate…
Why does Jerusalem always turn away? They cling to deceit and no one repents of his wickedness, saying ‘what have I done?’
Each pursues his own course like a horse charging into battle…How can you say ‘We are wise, for we have the law of the Lord?’ when the lying pen of the scribes has handled it falsely?
Therefore I will give their wives to other men and their fields to new owners…
No one speaks the truth…They have taught their tongues to lie and they weary themselves with doing evil…
It is because they have forsaken me and instead followed the stubbornness of their hearts that I will make them eat bitter food and drink poisoned water. I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their fathers have known and I will pursue them with the sword until I have destroyed them…
There is a conspiracy among the people of Jerusalem…
They have returned to the evil ways of their forefathers who refused to listen to me…
Therefore I will bring upon them a disaster they cannot escape and although they cry out to me, I will not listen to them…
Do not pray for these people nor plead for them, because I will not listen in the time of distress…Do not pray for the well-being of these people, for I will not listen to their cry…
Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague…
The prophets of Israel tell lies in my name…
I have not sent them or spoken to them…
They are prophesying to you false visions and the delusions of their own mind, saying ‘No sword or famine will touch Israel.’
But those prophets will perish by sword and famine and those who listen to them will be thrown into the streets of Jerusalem…
There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or daughters…
I will pour out upon them the calamity they deserve…
Who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem?
    Who will mourn for you?
You have rejected me, so I will lay hands on you and destroy you…
I can no longer show you compassion…
I will bring bereavement and destruction on these people for they have not changed their ways…
Your wealth and your treasures I will give away as plunder, because of all the sins of your country…
For my anger will kindle a fire that will burn against you, for I, the sovereign Lord am against you, Jerusalem, and will punish you as your deeds deserve and will kindle a fire in your forests that will consume everything around you…
Through your own fault you will lose the inheritance I gave you, for you have kindled my anger and it will burn FOREVER…–Book of Jeremiah

  6. I, for one. would like to see the defiled sculptures restored. Martin Luther knew what he was talking as regards the Jews. He was versed in several languages & sought to “get it right” by reading the Talmud in his effort to translate the Bible correctly into German. He was covering all bases. That is how he discovered the real truth about this despicable Talmud & its fanatical followers. That series of books is the same today as it was in Luther’s time. Pure evil. Its followers are just as evil.

  7. Jeremiah 51 was also not noted in all those quotes from “the book of Jeremiah”
God loves his people from whatever lineage. Under Christ we are all of one blood. His blood.
For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, I will plead thy cause, the cause of my people and take vengeance for thee, even EVERYONE that is called by my name. Vengeance is mine saith the lord.

    ed note–
‘…And Jesus said to them, the Jews, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. And why is it that my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say, because you belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”’
Jesus Christ in the book of Matthew describing the Jews as ‘children of their father, the Devil’.
Yeah, swell people, and surely on God’s good side.

  8. To your surprise. When I mentioned the book “THE JEWS AND THEIR LIES” by Doctor Martin Luther to a group of Lutherans, they didn’t even know that the book existed. And when I asked a minister in the church in Christmas Day: where is the Nativity? he said I do not know. However they still read the Gospel of Jesus.

  9. It seems that Gods words are taken here are read literally and gleefully to make hated sound ok.
Discipline measured out by man’s feelings or literal readings instead of God. I don’t recall reading where he gives permission for others to act out his measures. Please show me where he says “anyone else can join me in my punishing and you can hate freely those I discipline if you feel like it and be God”
Those whom I love I rebuke and chasten, be zealous therefore and repent.
I guess if you want to have these feelings then the responsibility will also be yours when God asks you in the judgement
What did you do with your influence to save others?
What did you do with your time?
What did you do with my son Jesus?
    And lastly
What you have done to the least of these my brethren you have done to me.
Good time to read the parable about the sheep and goats my friends.
    Isaac-
    Are you questioning the nativity?
Is Jesus also in question here?
