National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir called for targeted assassinations of Palestinian Authority officials, whom he called ‘terrorists,’ if the United Nations Security Council approves the US-proposed Gaza international stabilization force resolution in its current form on Monday.
‘If they accelerate the recognition of the Palestinian terrorist state, and the UN recognizes a Palestinian state, targeted assassinations of senior Palestinian Authority officials should be ordered,’ Ben-Gvir said.
The text introduces several substantive changes from the first draft aimed at defining the framework for Israel’s withdrawal, ensuring demilitarization, and establishing international oversight of the post-war transition.
The main change centers on the IDF withdrawal, which would occur only after ‘a verified demilitarization’ and proceed ‘in coordination with the United States and regional Arab states.’
Ben-Gvir’s comments are centered around the fact that the resolution also includes a statement regarding a ‘path towards a Palestinian state,’ as mentioned in US President Donald Trump’s 20-point plan.
‘We will witness the return of the discourse surrounding the establishment of a Palestinian state. Today, it may receive another boost in the UN Council. The invented people called the Palestinian people must not have a state,’ Ben-Gvir said.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich also commented on the matter on Monday: ‘The Jewish state was established here, and it will continue to exist with full sovereignty. I have been working hard in recent years to kill the idea of a Palestinian State and intend to continue doing so with all my might.’

Ben-Gvir’s statements also included a demand for the kidnapping and imprisonment of Mahmoud Abbas: ‘I appeal to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: Abu Mazen [Mahmoud Abbas] and his terrorist friends must know that they have no immunity.’
