It is reasonable and highly plausible that Jesus had dark hair and eyes. That does not take any “forensic study” to assume. That is far from enough to “reconstruct” a face.
What is ridiculous beyond belief in its chutzpah is to construct a sort of composite face of characteristics common to people of the same ethnic group and then “identify” it as one particular person.

What annoys me in that Jesus story is… the lack of evidence. Nowhere there is images, drawings, descriptions or writings about and on Jesus while you have busts, sculptures, drawings, writings about and on Apolonius of Tyana who lived at the same time and… did similar teachings and miracles. Weird, no?
Are “Israeli archaeologists” known to have made great contributions to archaeology? The country is only 67 years old. It sounds like they are trying to build themselves up again so one of their nobodies with little talent can be made into a world famous figure.
Some European countries have a reputation for making contributions to archeology but I’ve never heard of an “Israeli archeologist” or even a Jewish one for that matter. I guess they want to change that.
