Now that the role of the people is over, the election will be decided by one man: President Reuven Rivlin.

JPOST

With all due respect to the millions of people who gave up time on their vacation day to cast ballots, it was clear from the start that the election would be decided by one man: President Reuven Rivlin.

When the polling stations closed at 10 p.m. Tuesday, so did the irrelevant part of the election when the people had their say. Now the important part of the election begins.

Polls in The Jerusalem Post and elsewhere have found that the people of Israel do not want a national unity government. In past elections they did, but this was the “it’s us or them” election, in which everyone pushed for their own team.

Perhaps now that the election is over, the people will change their minds and favor unity again. But it does not matter, because the role of the people in the election is over.

It’s now Rivlin’s turn to take over, and Rivlin wants a unity government. It’s his job to bring about the strongest and most stable government, and he thinks that is a coalition of Likud and the Zionist Union together.

The leaders of Likud and the Zionist Union, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition leader Isaac Herzog, will push Rivlin to give them a chance without the other. But Rivlin will push back for unity.

His associates say he won’t force a unity government, but he will encourage one. Anyone with a Jewish mother knows that sometimes it’s hard to tell the difference between the two.

So a unity government is the most likely coalition. It would include the Likud’s 27-28 seats, Zionist Union’s 27, Kulanu’s 9-10, Shas’s 7, and United Torah Judaism’s 6-7 for a total of 76-78 mandates.

If Netanyahu gets his way and receives the right to form a right-wing government, it would include the Likud’s seats 27-28, Bayit Yehudi’s 8-9, Kulanu’s 9-10, Shas’s 7, United Torah Judaism’s 6-7, and Yisrael Beytenu’s 5 for a total of 62-66 mandates.

If Herzog gets the right to form a government, it’s more complicated. The haredi (ultra-Orthodox) parties say they won’t sit in a coalition with Yesh Atid, the Joint (Arab) List says it won’t join any coalition, and Yisrael Beytenu leader Avigdor Liberman says he won’t join a coalition with Meretz even if he is offered the title of president of the United States

The best Herzog could do is take his 27, Kulanu’s 10, Shas’s 7, UTJ’s 6, and Meretz’s 5. That’s only 55 mandates.

That brings us back to a unity government.

President Rivlin, the choice is yours. This election will be decided by one vote.

  1. I have said it the entire time, and I will say it, AGAIN:

The creature, netanyahu, is playing his role as “bad-cop”, while those “against” him are playing their roles as “good-cops”, BUT IN THE END, he IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE, BECAUSE HE IS NEEDED BY the cabal TO CONTINUE THEIR MACHINATIONS.

This is all a master-level game-of-deception, and they are ALL bad guys, despite their pretense in their roles as “good-cops”, and no matter what, key operatives/movers-and-shakers like netanyahu, ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

    Lindsey

  2. NB: In other words, netanyahu was never going to lose the election, but it was all a-dog-and-pony-show to ATTEMPT to convince the ignorant masses that there was a power-struggle, and that there was a “chance” for someone less hard-line to take-control of israHell.

IT IS ALL DECEPTION, but I do not have to tell you all this, right?

    Lindsey

  3. who gives a flying rats butt we all know what pos those people ect are there is enough eveidence to hand about each and every one of them enough with the jew crap every freaking day

  4. whatever the hell happens it will never cahnge till they are all exterminated so enough already with daily psycho jew babble

  5. @ LindseyNarrates:

With respect, my perspective is different from yours.

In Israel, both sides are “hard line,” as you put it. Both sides cheered the 50-day bombardment of the Gaza Death Camp.

So did Republicans and Democrats in the USA. “Progressive Democrat” Elizabeth Warren especially cheered for the slaughter.

Likud (led by Netanyahu) corresponds to Republicans in the USA.

Labor (the “Zionist Union Party” lead by Yitzhak Herzog) corresponds to Democrats.

Both are corrupt puppets of the rich. Both want to continue threatening Iran, and slaughtering Palestinians. Both make this clear in their speeches and platforms.

The election was about the style of neo-liberalism in Israel. It is about the drive to widen the gap between the rich and the rest. Shall this drive continue in a blatant manner under Netanyahu? Or shall it continue in “Obama style,” in which the leader pretends to care about the masses, but is as ruthless in crushing them as was his predecessor?

My guess is that the money powers will install Herzog, the “Obama,” who pretends to care about average Israelis, but who works strictly for the rich, helping them to become richer.

This is the standard pattern in today’s politics. The Republican (i.e. Likud / Conservative) party grinds the masses into the dirt. Eventually the masses yearn for a savior. Therefore the Democrat candidate (i.e. Labor / Social Democrat) says good things during the campaign, and then does an about-face the minute he is in office. This never fails. He becomes so corrupt that the masses swing the other way, and call for a conservative to “punish” the “liberals.” Then the cycle repeats.

    Republicans / Democrats / Republicans / Democrats / Republicans / Democrats
    Likud / Labor / Likud / Labor / Likud / Labor

It’s all designed to make the masses submit to ever-worsening inequality. In this respect Israel is the same as every other place. A Labor government under Herzog will continue to impose gratuitous austerity on the Israeli masses, just as Likud and Netanyahu did. Why? Because the rich pay them to.

A Labor government will continue to claim that there is “no money” for social programs, although there is infinite money for weapons makers and for banker-bailouts. Everything will continue to be geared toward widening the gap between the rich and the rest.

Meanwhile for the Palestinians, nothing will change. Both sides have been quite clear about this.

And all Jews will continue to be scum. Jewish evil will continue until the Gentile world decides to stop worshipping it.

  6. FYI: I read this comment on another blog. I’m not sure if it’s true but if so, you might wish to say a prayer for morris herman:

“Stop press.`108 Morris 108` is in a coma in a hospital in Cambodia.RT could you send your reporter to that hospital and give us a report about his condition please.”

  7. Konrad, while I do see your point, the election is over, with netanyahu being the victor, so I stand-by what I said, and believe absolutely that he was ALWAYS going to win, no matter what.

I hate to ever dis-agree with you, but on this one point, I do, and will.

    Lindsey

  8. [1] You do not know that Netanyahu is the victor.

[2] This had nothing to do with “good cop – bad cop” tricks. Herzog never posed as a “good cop” regarding Iran or Palestinians. I explained this in my comment above.

[3] If this contest was all a pretense, then who was Netanyahu trying to deceive, and why?

[4] You never give any reasons for your claim, whereas I have given detailed point-by-point reasons for my assertions in many comments on this topic over the last couple of weeks.

No, we are not in agreement.

  9. The ‘elite’ Jew own the gold & silver (even the mines themselves), precious stone operations, the creation of fiat currencies and the entire global processes, food corporations, many ‘rights’ to water, pharmaceutical corporations, the media, films, publishing, drug trafficking; so much of global society.

“The Last Emperor of China” ~ as a boy he was told by his chief eunuch a story. He was told a long time ago there was a snow covered, beautiful mountain. Beautiful angels went there to bathe. One of them ate a magical fruit that was picked by a magical bird. This angel then gave birth to a baby boy. He was told that this baby boy was his ancestor of long ago. The magic bird told the boy that he is a son of the gods, and that their family will become masters of the land.

I would think that there is more to Israeli politics than internal strife and division within those borders. Israel has inroads to India and China (strangely both a part of BRICS). They are interested in the developments and outcome involving NATO, Russia, Crimea, and Ukraine…and of course Iran. China & Russia do rely on Iran, and vice versa.

I could not care less about what happens to ‘the poor Israelis’ as compared to the rich. That country was formed and formulated on trickery, manipulations, deceptions, theft, and mass murder. Let them have internal strife. They have supported it abroad in other countries for decades.

When these ‘leaders’ speak and say certain words and phrases, they know their listening audiences are not only the people in the country. They know that others in Russia, Iran, Europe, the US, etc..are also listening to the words. It’s designed as much to throw off other countries as their own masses. Words are free.
