Bernie Sanders, A Jewish Bet

[Ed. Note, Ariad: Las Vegas was invented by Jews, and the gaming industry in the US is largely owned and controlled by Jews so they know a thing or two about betting. Safe betting, of course. In the high-stakes game in which the winner-take-all pot is the White House they only play among themselves. It doesn’t matter who wins — Bush, Clinton or even a made-up “outsider” like Bernie Sanders — in the end they win.

Some think that the winner has already been decided. I take a more nuanced view. I think it is not over till the fat cantor sings. It makes the game more exciting for the players to leave a margin of unpredictability, just in case. Again, safe unpredictability. It has nothing to do with the voters, those silly buggers. It has to do with the candidates themselves, any one of whom may put a foot wrong before or during the election campaign (the odds on Bush are better than on Clinton who has clumsily “hurt Jewish sensitivities” before), thus showing himself or herself to be either too stupid to follow directions properly or self-conceited enough to try to give them a personal interpretation. And seemingly suddenly Bernie Sanders shows up as a serious contender. Suddenly for us, that is. The Masters of the Universe do not leave anything to chance. They are gods and Einstein said God doesn’t play dice. Below is an article from a European Jewish magazine (in my translation) informing the Self-Chosen about Bernie Sanders, whom it depicts as no less than a brave revolutionary, feeling the pain of the American working class and an activist advocating civil and social rights. According to this article he promises to reform the health care system after the European model, to make higher education tuition free in state universities, to tax the rich and even the financial transactions. Apparently he will do all that without touching the Jewish welfare system that pours billions of US taxpayers’ dollars into Israel!]

A Jewish Democrat in the Race for the White House Who wants Hillary Clinton’s head? Bernie Sanders, among others. And for good reason, at the age of 73, this Vermont senator is the main challenger of the former US State Secretary in the race of the democrat primaries, eying the presidential election of  2016. An iconoclast who calls himself a socialist in loud and clear statements (an uncommon and taboo occurence in Uncle Sams’ land), this Jewish candidate originally from New York has achieved a spectacular jump in the public opinion polls of the last few weeks. From barely touching 5% two months ago, he is now supported by 17% of Democrats, although still far behind the great favorite Hillary Clinton, who scores 56% in favorable opinions. Even if he may not have a chance to make it, Bernie Sanders benefits from ample coverage by the US media, especially due to his marked leftist positions, called “populist” by his adversaries, like higher taxes for the rich, taxing of financial transactions, tuition-free high education in state universities  and a health care system modeled after the European one! It is a political mission strongly inspired by the militant Jewish world in which he grew up in Brooklyn, very active in the struggle for civil and social rights. Born in 1941 in a family of Polish immigrants decimated by the Holocaust, Bernie Sanders has also spent several months in an Israeli kibbutz, after his studies in 1964, before finally joining politics in the 1970s.

I connect the persona they have confected for Sanders with a recent report I read recently in TUT about a survey conducted by Frank Lutz among Democrats. Worried about a drop the survey revealed in the favorable opinion of Democrats about Israel, Lutz recommended a “change of message,” and “words that work better” for Democrats: downplay “zionism” and sell Israel’s image as “humanitarian” … Israel is us, really, and Sanders is the American boy next door. What is the civil and social rights-minded Sanders if not a humanitarian? His kibbutz experience and devotion to Israel will be dialed down in the message to Goyim.
