Republican nominee and Russian president appear to see eye-to-eye on many key issues, share deep dislike of Clinton

ed note–besides the obvious slant attached to this piece suggesting that somehow Trump is an ‘asset’ of a foreign power, there is actually a lot being said that needs to be considered, and not just by the American people, but indeed by each and every member of the entire human population whose lives are going to be directly impacted on what is coming down the road vis a’ vis the next POTUS.

As we have said here many times, people the world over need to look more deeply into the entire Trump phenomenon and recognize that he/it is an act of desperation on the part of powerful players not only within the American military/intelligence apparati, but as well those of other nations as well, who understand just how close to the precipice the ENTIRE WORLD stands right now. The economic situation, the unleashing of indiscriminate terrorism and mass murder throughout the world, to say nothing of the cauldron of conflict and increasing consternation between a nuclear-armed US and a nuclear-armed Russia, all of these factors have come to a head to the point that saner players within the lunatic asylum known as the power elite are doing everything they can to put some distance between what’s left of the world and the impending apocalypse that is SURE to arrive with a bang if desperate maneuvers and counter-measures are not employed.

Having said this, all can rest assured that Trump’s ‘people’ and those of other players–including Russia, are indeed meeting with each other on a regular basis (quietly) and hammering out some strategy that (they hope) will save what’s left of this dying world from reaching that point of no return, if in fact this has not been reached already.

Times of Israel

Donald Trump has refused to condemn Russia’s military takeover of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula, saying if elected he would consider recognizing it as Russian territory, in the latest of a series of statements that have raised eyebrows about the Republican candidate’s intentions toward the Kremlin.

“We’ll be looking at that. Yeah, we’ll be looking,” Trump told reporters on Wednesday.

Accepting Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea would be a radical departure from US policy. The United States and the European Union worked together to punish Russia by imposing economic sanctions and have shown no willingness to lift them. Even Belarus, Russia’s closest ally and neighbor, did not recognize the annexation.

While Trump has sided with Putin on a wide range of issues, Putin has not openly backed the Republican nominee and the Kremlin denies interfering in the US electoral process. Hillary Clinton’s campaign claimed that Russia was behind the hacking of Democratic National Committee computers as part of an effort to undermine her candidacy.

Although the Russians “will keep their mouths tightly zipped until Election Day,” they clearly prefer Trump, said Wayne Merry, a senior fellow at the American Foreign Policy Council and former diplomat who spent six years at the US Embassy in Moscow.

“They don’t know exactly what to expect from Donald Trump, but they think two things about him: One, that he has a number of advisers who they see as being relatively open-minded if not sympathetic about Russia. And second, they see him as a deal maker,” Merry said.

“When they look at Hillary Clinton they see somebody they really do not like.”

On the personal level, Clinton is not the type of leader that Putin likes to deal with, said Mikhail Zygar, a Russian journalist and author of “All the Kremlin’s Men.”

“We cannot imagine them sitting in the pub, drinking beer, or vodka, or whiskey or whatever,” he said of Clinton and Putin. “We cannot even imagine them going to the theater or cinema together: They have so little in common, they have no topics to chat about, and that’s the very important thing for Putin.”

“For him, it’s very important to be respected and to be treated as a world leader, and to have his own agenda.”

Here is a look at some of the issues where the views of Putin and Trump coincide:

NATO and the Baltics

NATO’s eastward expansion has long been a sore spot for Putin, who has accused the Western military alliance and the United States of violating what he said were informal agreements not to encroach upon Russia’s borders.

Russia’s support for separatist fighters in eastern Ukraine and its annexation of Crimea spooked Eastern Europe, especially the Baltic nations that were once part of the Soviet Union. In 2014, NATO created a rapid-reaction force to protect its most vulnerable members against a confrontation with Russia. Putin has decried the build-up.

In sharp contrast to the assurances made by Clinton and the current US administration, Trump has suggested that under his leadership the United States might abandon its NATO military commitments. In an interview with The New York Times last week, Trump said he would decide whether to protect the Baltic states against Russian aggression based on whether those countries “have fulfilled their obligations to us.”

Syria

Putin is a key backer of Syrian President Bashar Assad, who has been accused of targeting civilians in Syria’s ongoing civil war. Western nations including the United States insist that as part of a political transition Assad should step aside. The future of the Syrian president has been a major stumbling block in Syria talks between Moscow and Washington, with Russia insisting that Assad can only be removed through an election.

Trump, however, has expressed his opposition to regime change in Syria and said the US and Russia should focus on working together to destroy the Islamic State group.

Brexit

On the morning after Britain voted last month to leave the European Union, Putin sought to sound neutral, warning of the “traumatic effect” of the vote. Russia watchers, however, believe that Moscow wants Britain, one of its severest critics in Europe, to leave the EU and relishes any development that could weaken the 28-nation bloc.

Trump, however, saluted the British vote, saying “they took back their country, it’s a great thing.”

Clinton

“Crooked Hillary Clinton is unfit to serve as president of the US,” Trump tweeted this month. “Her temperament is weak and her opponents are strong.”

Just like Trump, Putin has been keen to dismiss Clinton as weak because she is a woman. Responding to Clinton’s remarks comparing his actions in Ukraine to those of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, Putin said in an interview with the RT channel in December: “It’s better not to argue with women.”

“Mrs. Clinton wasn’t known for an elegant turn of phrase before,” Putin said. “When people cross certain boundaries, the bounds of propriety, it speaks of their weakness, not their strength. But weakness is not a bad quality for a woman.”

  1. Yes – both Trump and Putin love Israel, and would do anything to keep Israel the only western colonial power in the Middle East.

Beside many other reasons – Zionist entity is a “Christian thing”.

    https://rehmat1.com/2016/07/26/dr-ludwig-watzal-zionism-is-christian-thing/

ed note–if this is the case, then WHY, Rehmat, WHY, is Russia dedicating the kinds of resources that she has employed in keeping Syria and the Assad regime alive, since it is in Israel’s interests to see Syria Destroyed and Assad removed? WHY is Russia assisting Iran in terms of nuclear technology, military/economic cooperation and assistance, etc?

There is too much emotion and not enough critical thinking within this movement where people are easily swayed by a few circumstantial pieces of information into making erroneous conclusions such as this in much the same way that someone would deduce that a whale is a fish just because they both happen to live in the sea.

  2. If Trump is friendly with Putin, that’s great. What about Hillary being Netanyahu’s bitch? Hillary is a lot more of an agent of Israel than Trump is to Russia, that’s for sure!

  3. What do you guys think of Trump’s view against Iran?

Also, Putin said he never claimed Trump was “brilliant” and has been clear that he will work with any US president that will respect Russia. Trump and Putin are not on the same side.

Putin has never looked for trouble, but Trump will be bad news for everyone. I am not a supporter of Hilary and think they’re both equally bad, but I also think the president has little say in anything in US policy anymore.

I hope that the good people here will notice before its too late. I know the people here have their heart’s in the right place but Trump is tricking everyone. There is nothing wrong with backtracking on Trump as his actions clearly show he is on the side of evil.

ed note–once again, you are missing the point Omar.

No one here ‘likes’ Trump. As I have said from the beginning, he is representative of everything that is wrong with America. What we are talking about here is best explained as thus–

The Titanic has hit the iceberg and the ship is going down. With Clinton at the helm, she will see to it that the lifeboats are shot full of holes and that everyone onboard dies. With Trump in power, he will see to it that as many people as possible get a seat on the lifeboats and will thus try and save as many people as possible.

  4. Who will be the next Potus is indeed something that concernes the whole world. Despite the massive media campaigne against Trump there are more and more people in Germany who have come to understand that he is by far the better choice and here are a lot of Putin – friends as well.

  5. Criticism ot Trump’s expressions of pro Israel and pro Zionist policies is based on much more than “a few pieces of circumstantial evidence.” http://www.thornwalker.com/ditch/snieg_trump_antisemite.htm

I get why you feel the way you do and I myself have not dismissed the possibility that Trump may indeed be playing the establishment, but to dismiss all valid criticism of Trump’s Zionist connections as well as his many statements in support of Israel as his lip service to pro Israel policies in this election as being driven by emotion and based on flimsy circumstantial evidence is a mistake in my opinion

ed note–We do not dismiss criticism of Trump’s statements. Anyone who is paying attention to what is going on in the world simply cannot view these things as anything other than threatening and as foreboding of the worst.

For us (me) however, It is a matter of strategy, and I’ll tell you why–

Imagine, a few years from now, Clinton has been president, we are knee-deep in war with Russia, China, Iran, and in a few locales in South America, just as the Neo’s want. The American economy has collapsed, the cities have become war zones. Trump–knowing what was coming years ago, sold everything he had and moved to another country before the shtf. Then he gives an interview with a news outlet and reveals that indeed, as we have postulated here, his campaign was an attempt on the part of powerful individuals within the military and intelligence apparati of not just the US but of several countries who were aiming to prevent all of this, but alas, due to all the chirping and honking going on during his campaign, (including within the ‘alternative media’) that he was a zionist in hiding and all the rest, he could not gain the momentum he needed to win, and thus, Clinton came to power.

This is what we are trying to avoid. Save the academic discussions for later, this is about a the slimmest of chances we have of survival.

  6. #1 rehmat1. I do not know where you got this information but I do not believe president Putin loves Israel. President Putin has been very careful no to say anything about the Jews and Israel but deep inside they all know that the Bolshevik “Revolution” was perpetrated by the Jews in Wall Street who paid mercenaries from Eastern Europe to invade Russia and overthrow the Christian Monarchy. In the Schools in Russia the book “GULAG ARCHIPELAGO” by Alexandr Solzhenitsyn is taught and the Russians know exactly who destroyed Russia and murdered 60 million Russian Christians in Siberia. Do you know that in Russia the Jews can’t hold important positions in government and the Jewish Oligarchs are in Jail??

  7. I cant believe at times that a news out let like this can be so easily taken in by all this popular politics thing. You actually believe that the world Elite sit back and let some individual come a long to be President and reverse their plans and ground work.? The average every day Joe out there, sure, we know what gullible idiots they are but this from those who profess to be Jew wise.? We know that those who run for President have already been chosen by the Elite, you can have this one or that one. The entire thing is a sham and I am disappointed that an organ like this puts this B/S out there.

ed note–Where have you been? Have you not been watching all the drama unfolding? The world elite are NOT letting some individual that is a threat to their system come along to be president. In the 50+ years I have been following politics, the only other drama I have witnessed that comes close to this Trump business is what they put Mel Gibson through a decade ago.

  8. is trump siding with putin
or are both showing common sense
    rationality
