Oh, and about that “43 US Senators ‘Alarmed’ by Reports of Obama-Iran Nuke Deal” letter.

In a scathing two-page letter by 43 Republican senators to US President Barack Obama dated this Wednesdasy, the senators, led by Mark Kirk and Marco Rubio, warned that they were “alarmed” by reported plans to bypass Congress and reach a nuclear deal with Iran.
The senators were alarmed at “reports that your administration plans to circumvent Congress and unilaterally provide significant sanctions relief under a comprehensive nuclear agreement with Iran.”
US Secretary of State John Kerry insisted Wednesday that the US and Iran would reach a nuclear deal by November 24, indicating the stage may be set for a titanic battle between the Obama Administration and the incoming Republican-majority US Senate on the exact terms of any Obama-Iran nuclear deal.
Most noticeably absent from the signatories to the senators’ missive was Senator Rand Paul, who has a history of not signing any pro-Israel letters. By contrast Senator Ted Cruz, Paul’s likely Republican nomination presidential contender, was a signatory to the Rubio-Kirk Letter.
The Senate Republican letter goes on to state, “Reported plans to circumvent Congress suggest that your negotiators may be concluding a weak and dangerous deal which…would ensure the ultimate failure of any agreement, and runs directly counter to Secretary of State John Kerry’s April 2014 statement to the Senate that your administration was absolutely obligated by law to come back to Congress in order to lift sanctions as part of the final deal with Iran.”
Arutz Sheva reported in October that Ben Rhodes, a senior White House adviser, had been secretly taped bragging that a nuclear deal with Iran was Obama’s foreign-policy “signature” equivalent of “ObamaCare,” and that they working to structure a deal that would evade any congressional approval or ratification.
The senators point out an even more alarming fact, saying that “the negotiators’ objective disregarded clear expressions from the Senate emphasizing the need for a multi-decade agreement requiring Iran to fully suspend its enrichment and reprocessing activities, to dismantle its illicit nuclear infrastructure, and completely disclose its past work on nuclear weaponization.”
As Arutz Sheva also reported, Iran has failed to explain to the UN atomic agency its research into “neutron initiators” and “exploding bridge wires” which are the principal parts of the “nuclear military dimension” still outstanding.
And shockingly, in an Iranian letter to the IAEA dated June 4, Iran claimed that since the P5+1-Iran Joint Statement failed to reference the “Possible Military Dimension (PMD)” issue, Iran no longer has to answer any questions regarding any of its military nuclear experiments.
This would indicate Iran believes the Joint Statement trumped and superseded any prior IAEA/UN Security Consul nuclear mandates of Iran. And consistent with Iran’s letter, as late as this week, Director General Yukiya Amano of the IAEA said Iran had failed to answer any remaining questions concerning the “possible military dimensions” of Iran’s nuclear program.
The senators further expressed that “we also remain concerned about the full range of Iran’s threatening behavior. As the State Department has reported, Iran remains of the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. Iran’s military forces, terrorist proxies, and illicit financial activities are perpetuating slaughter in Syria, and selling extremism and instability throughout the region.”
With the Republicans poised in control of the US Senate for the next two years, the Republican senators threatened that “unless the White House genuinely engages with Congress, we see no way that any agreement consisting of your administration’s current proposals to Iran will endure the 114th Congress and after your presidential term ends.”
In light of Obama’s unilateral executive action over immigration and the Iranian nuclear file, there are anticipations for a very tense two month period until the new Congress and Republican Senate majority is sworn in.

  1. It’s all a distraction. Smoke and mirrors. Iran’s nuclear program is irrelevant. It is a trivial side show.
As I have often repeated, Iran’s current president, Rouhani, is a filthy rich oligarch who has brutally imposed neo-liberalism on the Iranian masses. No matter what country we speak of, the purpose of neo-liberalism in all its forms is to widen the gap between rich and poor. Mass privatization, gratuitous austerity, elimination of social programs for the masses, increases in subsidies for the rich, “free trade” deals, etc etc etc – it’s all being done in 191 countries, including the USA, Israel, Iran, India, and China. The only governments that are not doing this are those of Cuba, Bolivia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Zimbabwe. You know, the “rogue terrorist states.”
Notice I included Israel. Do you think that Jews are “money smart”? Do you think that Jews are very good with finance? Trust me, average Jews are as stupid about these things as any other group of average people. (But they do stick together, and they are sociopaths.)
As is the case almost everywhere else, rich Israelis are using gratuitous austerity to crush and enslave average Israelis, while using Iran and Palestinians as a distraction.
Neo-liberalism involves financialization — i.e. the shift from industrial capitalism to casino capitalism. Financialization means a shift in the center of gravity from Main Street to Wall Street. With financialization, the rich no longer make money by producing and selling goods and services. No, they make money from money. From speculating in rigged markets. From financial fraud. From enslaving the planet with debt. From borrowing at near-zero interest from central banks, and using that loot for arbitrage leverage and stick buybacks. And so on, These are all forms of making money from money. As a result, Wall Street thrives, while Main Street dies. This is now the case all over the world.
Iranian President Rouhani knows all this, and he wants to enter the global casino, while bringing his rich Iranian cronies along with him. Inside the casino, the global financiers and money masters are ready to welcome him. Rouhani wants “free trade” deals that will reduce Iran to a land of sweatshops. Why? Because this will widen the gap between the rich and the rest.
My comments may seem overwrought, but that is because I cannot go into all the details here. If I did, your eyes would glaze over, and you would quickly scroll to the bottom.
THE MAIN POINT is that with this so-called “nuclear deal,” Iran’s nuclear program is a trivial side show. It is camouflage for what’s really happening, which is negotiations between Iran’s oligarchs and the global financiers. They are secretly talking about “free trade” deals, and other things that will have an impact on Iran’s overall industry and economy.
The fly in the ointment is Iran’s Republican Guard, who resist the oligarchs and the global financiers and their neoliberal assault. The Republican Guard is essentially National Socialist, Iranian style.
Supreme Leader Ali Hosseini Khamenei is a good man, but he’s elderly and infirm. Ahmadinejad is a politician who must dance between the oligarchs and the Republican Guard, but Ahmadinejad tends to lean toward the latter, since he is not rich.
If all this is true, then why is Israel constantly screaming about Iran? This again is a distraction. Top Israeli politicians do this to keep the Israeli masses angry and distracted while the Israeli masses are crushed by neo-liberalism. (I’d like to discuss day-to-day economics in Israel if anyone is interested.) Remember that Netanyahu was Israel’s Finance Minister from 2003-2005, but was briefly pushed out by Prime Minister Olmert and his Likud-Kadima coalition. By 2009, Netanyahu was back in power. He and top Israelis (e.g. Karnit Flug, head of Israel’s central bank) are imposing neo-liberalism n the Israeli economy.
Why? To widen the gap between the rich and the rest. That’s what it’s all about, all over the world. That’s the whole point. (Incidentally, Ms. Flug’s predecessor at Israel’s central bank was Stanley Fischer, who is now Vice-Chairman of the US Federal Reserve Board of Governors.)
So what’s with these 43 Republican senators writing a letter to Obama, in which they scream about the impending “nuclear deal”? They are simply trying to further ingratiate themselves with their Jewish owners. They know nothing of what I am discussing here. It’s beyond their limited mentalities. Obama himself is merely a chair-warmer. He does whatever the global financiers order him to do.
The screaming about Iran is all for show, while the real action goes on behind the scenes. Action that most Congressmen know little of. You’ve heard of “free trade” negotiations such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. There are “free trade” treaties in place or being negotiated all over the world. In most cases they represent deals between global oligarchs against the global masses. The purpose is the same all over the world, including Iran and Israel, namely to widen the gap between themselves and the masses. That’s it, in a nutshell.

  2. “As the State Department has reported, Iran remains of the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.” Words from Mrs. Kagan (Nudalman AKA Nuland) or Mrs. Sunstein (Powers)?

  3. Konrad, I for one am interested in what you have to say about Israel’s day to day economics. Also you say that the aim of neo-liberals is to further widen the gap between the rich and the rest as though rather than merely a consequence of financialization that it is itself and end (aim) for its own sake. Could you please explain a little further? Lastly I continue to be troubled by the claim that Iran is the leading sponsor of terrorism. I don’t know if Iran is or isn’t. Can you help me with this? Hope you come back and comment further about this.

  4. Thanks for that, Konrad.
I, for one, would carefully read the day to day economics of life in Israel for ordinary Jews, as we never read of that reality, except in passing, for example, Tel Aviv South has had overtly racist riots against Africans, as these have been undercutting the local manual labour market.
That is, if it’s ok with MG, write a piece for here.

  5. You are right on target Konrad. The Enemy is Neo-liberalism and under the reign of Obama-Crypto-fascist the Global Hegemony by the %1 via Full Spectrum Dominance will cement the Casino Capitalism / and full on Fascism will ensue.
How do you know when you’re in occupied territory ~ just turn on your Tee Vee.

  6. The level of poverty in Israel is high. Holocaust survivors are among the poorest in many cases because they have been robbed on every level. The Israeli connected Swiss banks have made it almost impossible for the average survivor or his descendants to lay claim to anything remaining from WW2.
It is difficult for people to get past their overall disgust for the everyday Zionist/Jew and realize that these folks are despised equally by the PTB and are also slated for annihilation. No matter how it is worded, the whole thing is a class thing not a religious thing ~ all others are red herrings to distract from that basic banking fact. This whole operation has been in the planning for a very very long time.

  7. Yes, please do tell more on Iran. As you may know that recent x-volunteer soldier , died from his ailments or wounds i donno sent the letter to GW Bush that went viral ~ put on some nasty stuff about Iran ~ not sure where he garnered this info or fostered on his own.
Neo-liberals are the scourge of the planet if not the solar system.
