Satire about GOP nominee’s presidential campaign modeled on ‘The Great Dictator,’ Charlie Chaplin’s 1940 satire of Hitler

The group that created “The Great Schlep,” a Jewish initiative that promoted Barack Obama’s presidential run in 2008, has written an anti-Donald Trump musical to be performed across the country.

The musical, called “Chump,” is a satire of Trump’s Republican presidential campaign modeled on “The Great Dictator,” Charlie Chaplin’s 1940 satire of Adolf Hitler. Its music and script will be given away for free, to be produced by regional theaters and student groups. At the productions, audience members will be able to register to vote or sign up to volunteer for the presidential campaign.

“Chump,” announced in a fundraising appeal Thursday, was created by the Jewish Council for Education & Research, a federal Super PAC that grew out of the 2008 effort to encourage young Jews to visit their grandparents in Florida and convince them to vote for Obama. Jewish comedian Sarah Silverman headlined that campaign in a viral video.

“At a time when the Republican nominee for President offers a vision of an America with few Latinos or Muslims, we need more art and culture that says, NO,” wrote Mik Moore, one of the creators of “Chump,” in a Facebook post Thursday. “Chump is one attempt by artists to do just that.”

  1. So much for the arts…… Chumps…. starring Sarah S and Seth Rogan….. and that whiner who pees on images of Christ…
All this vitriol they spew against Trump, love him or loathe him, never says a single thing that is concrete…. it is just denigrate and hope the goyim turn to Hildebeaste… their preferred golem…
