Ed-note (Sabba) – I am sharing this story because I have heard many, too many people in North West Europe say that the only reason why Greece is in the mess she is in now is because Greek people are lazy, do not work hard enough, do not pay taxes, refuse to pay their taxes etc. The belief that they are all like Aristotle Onassis is surprisingly widespread.
The Ugly Truth is that for at least the past 3 years, the Greek population is the hardest working in Europe, they work the longest hours – 12 hours being now an average working day, those who still get a salary have seen their income halved while it is estimated that 25% of them are working without pay.
The Greek workforce, the brightest, the most educated and the most dynamic elements of the Greek society are forced to leave their beautiful country to try and find a job in other parts of Europe (mainly Germany). And so we see doctors, architects, teachers, engineers, nurses, accountants work in call centers, car factories, restaurants, doing the low-paid jobs which the citizens of that country would refuse to do.
Greek teenage girls selling their bodies for the price of a sandwich is a jewish tragedy being played in the country that invented Tragedy. And I can not help but think that it is a sign of things to come in Europe in general and in Catholic and Orthodox Europe in particular.

Also, the situation in Greece reminds me of the description of the same abyss of despair in Italy right after the war when the victorious American troops marched in and thought it fitting to demand sexual services for a pair of nylons. Those who read Curzio Malaparte’s novel Skin, based on his personal observations as a war correspondent, may well recall it. Greece was devastated by another kind of war: a savage economic and financial despoliation.
In each and every case the point to be taken is the absolute lack of compassion of Organized Usury towards ordinary gentiles.
You can work until you have no more hands, only stumps. And you know what? You probably wont be much better off, just more tired in this system.
Heck, the richest people are the ones who never get their hands dirty and work the shortest hours. The ones who just invest in some companies stocks and get rich off of other peoples hard work.
