Israeli analyst Yossi Melman shortened the situation as the visit of the Israeli security delegation headed by the Mossad chief to Washington to discuss the influence of Iran and Hezbollah in Syria as a “participation in the funeral of burying US policy in Syria, so that the mourners are the Americans and the bereaved is Israel.”
