Four family members have been arrested on suspicion of pedophilic acts against a 9-year-old minor, police announced on Friday.

The suspects are the boy’s grandfather, grandmother, uncle and aunt.

According to police, they are charged with indecent acts by a guardian, abuse of a helpless minor, and distribution of obscene materials.

The Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court held a remand hearing for the four on Friday, releasing two of them to house arrest.

The remand of another female suspect was extended until Tuesday and the fourth suspect was released. Police announced that they will appeal the decision and request a stay of execution until Sunday.

According to police, the case was uncovered during a two-month Lahav 433 investigation into a pedophilia network where parents distributed pedophilic materials in Telegram groups.

Many of the suspects are Israeli parents who committed sex offenses against their own children, documented the acts, and then sent the videos to the groups.

During the investigation of one of the suspects in the case, abuse of a minor was uncovered, leading to the arrest of the suspects on Tuesday.

As the investigation developed, the four family members were arrested.
