Ed-note (Sabba) – The Forward reported the same story under the headline: “Arab woman killed at Hebron Holy Site after threatening to stab police”.
Hebron, Al Khalil in Arabic, is the city where Abraham & Sarah, Isaac & Rebekah, Jacob & Leah are buried. Muslims built a mosque on the site and called it ‘al Khalil’, in reference to Abraham’s nickname, “Khalil Allah”, the Friend of God.
Nowadays, the mosque is no longer a mosque: 3/5 of it is a synagogue and 2/5 of it is a mosque (?!?). Muslims can no longer access it as they please to worship God: the jews have taken it over, put a check point at the entrance and it is guarded by IOF. Access in now divided between Muslims and jews: one day for them, one day for the Muslims. And the Christians you might ask? They are not allowed in or were not allowed in last time I checked.
