MIDDLE EAST EYE – Israel’s police chief on Tuesday caused controversy by telling a group of lawyers that it is “natural” for his officers to be more suspicious of Ethiopians, migrants in general, and Palestinians. Police Commissioner Roni Alsheich told a meeting of the Israel Bar Association in Tel Aviv that migrants deserve more suspicion than the rest of the population. “All over the world it is proven that migrants are more involved in crime than others,” he said. “This also goes for Arab…and also in East Jerusalem”.
