The Jews were responsible for Jesus’ death. Nowhere in the New Testament does any account blame the Romans. Yes, Pontius Pilate (reluctantly) condemned Jesus to die, but only because he was under intense pressure by the Jews. And don’t forget that the people of Jesus’ own home-town had tried to kill him for what they considered insults.
I don’t understand why more Christian people are not angry about Mel getting abused over his movie the Passion. After all, he portrays that story in the Bible exactly as its told in the Bible. So why do so many Christians fear that it makes the Jews unhappy to see or hear that story told? Don’t the Christians believe in their own book? If they do they should defend it then.

I don’t understand why all this whining about the movie. The Jews killed Jesus Christ and it is all in the Scriptures, there is nothing to hide and nothing new about it. The real Christian people know it and we remember every year the Passion of the Christ in the Holly Week.
Jesus was Jewish! Anyone that’s tead the Mrw Testament and is a Christian knows that the movie was very much “hitting the nail on the head!” This is the United States were we all have freedom of expression and Religion! Myself I couldn’t care less what any group believes, but when a group has such things as the ADL and other things with a lot of MONEY Backing them it’s very unfair to me! Mr. Gibson had a copy of his movie stolen and I can only imagine how upset that he was, I’d be furious! I’d been inconsolable!!! Big groups with money can do whatever they want ESPECIALLY IN HOLLYWOOD! If everyone would use their brains they’d realize that he wasn’t throwing every Jewish person to the wolves, but we believe a certain thing happened in our history to our lord and savior “in the Christian religion” and Jews believe that CHRIST is a made up character like “SANTA”! All religions are great that’s the wonderful thing about our country, but then when the Jewish people around the globe start putting one man down you can bet that it’s not over any comments, it’s about the film!!! Someone has put Mr. Gibsons career to a standstill from what it was!!!!!!!!!!! That’s obvious to anyone! Once you do someone the way he has been done it is irreparable to him and his career! I had hoped that somehow he’d push through but I suppose that he has been “black balled” by the big studios! It’s a damn shame that a good man like him has basically been labeled as racist and he’s been shut down! It’s not like the movie has changed anyone’s mind about their religion? It just shined a light on our beliefs! When I watched the Movie with my whole family we weren’t sitting around trash talking Jewish people! Not once did I even have that kind of thought in my mind! Sure, I was very upset at what was happening in the movie to my Lord and Savior but it was that group of people right there at that place and time! JESUS is a Jew! So how can I have a hatred of Jewish people? To me this is a catch 22 and it’s also a test to ones own faith to see if we will have hate in our heart! I disagree with the Jewish beliefs the same as they disagree with my beliefs! In my opinion Mr. Gibson needs a BIG settlement and more than money he needs a VERY BIG APOLOGY FROM THE JEWISH COMMUNITY!!! It’s so unfair to be done the way he’s been done! I mean if you treat someone bad enough and cause them to break a 10-12 year sobriety then it should show anyone that that person has been put under a lot of stress! His beliefs are just that! His beliefs! He’s not Hitler? Nor even a white supremacist! If anything this shows that what he has been saying and feeling is true! There’s a extremist part of the Jewish religion that has caused him a terrible time and it’s all because of him making that movie! Why would someone steal it before it was released? Who else would want to do such a thing unless someone wanted to be prepared with a response or try to have a lot of editing done to the movie, or just have it shut down completely? It’s so obvious who done it! I suppose it makes some people feel big to ruin a mans career and livelihood! In my humble opinion this is something that needs to be fixed ASAP! I know that’ll never happen! He has had a decade stolen from him and that’s what happens in Hollywood, someone that rocks the boat are out on a shelf to collect dust and slandererd at the same time! It’s pathetic! I wish Mr. Gibson all the luck in the world and God Bless him!!!
