Ed note–for those to whom the name ‘Rabbi Manis Friedman’ rings a bell, it should.
Some of his ‘whoppers’ over the years include the following–
‘I don’t believe in western morality, i.e. don’t kill civilians or children, don’t destroy holy sites, don’t fight during holiday seasons, don’t bomb cemeteries, don’t shoot until they shoot first, because it is immoral. The only way to fight a moral war is the Jewish way: Destroy their holy sites. Kill men, women and children and cattle. The first Israeli prime minister who declares that he will follow the Old Testament (Torah) will finally bring peace to the Middle East…’
Please note, he didn’t mention the Talmud in justifying the indiscriminate slaughter of Gentiles, but rather the Torah.
Nexto, in responding to the tidal wave of lawsuits being brought against rabbis for sexual assault of children, he had the following to say to the victims–
‘You’re not that damaged, cut it out…’
He went further by describing those whom the rabbis have molested to ‘having diarrhea,’ suggesting that victims of sexual abuse would be better off if they just kept quiet, adding–
‘It’s embarrassing, but it’s nobody’s business.’
