Going into a World War II film, audiences expect to see 70-year-old battle scenes play out on the big screen, in sometimes gory detail. The war in David Ayer’s latest film, “Fury,” is no different—except that it serves as more of a character study and a piece of historical fiction, much like “Saving Private Ryan,” to which it’s already being compared.

“Fury” follows the crew of an M4A3E8 Sherman tank in Germany in April 1945, towards the end of the European Theatre of the war. The tank, named “Fury” after the painted name on its gun barrel, becomes the new home of Private Norman Ellison (Logan Lerman), a clerical typist sent to the wrong part of the front. He joins up with Staff Sergeant Don Collier (Brad Pitt), Corporal Trini Garcia (Michael Peña), PFC Grady Travis (Jon Bernthal), and Technician 5th Grade Boyd Swan (Shia LaBeouf), a rough crew that’s been together since fighting in the North African Campaign. They lost Red, one of their front gunners, so Ellison is roped in to take his place after confronting the first of many horrors of war—the viscera of former comrades inside the tank. Collier privately struggles with the loss of Red, and he brings Ellison under his wing as Fury rolls across Germany, forcing him to be subjected to difficult situations such as cowardly killing a German soldier. This pushes him to an emotional breaking point.

From a production standpoint, “Fury” is historically accurate, going as far as using a restored Sherman tank and a restored Tiger I tank in the film. The costuming and uniforms fit the period. The cast is surprisingly good—even Shia LaBeouf—and they sink into their trope-like roles, most notably Bernthal as the jingoistic and rude Southerner. But what detracts from the film, apart from the darker side of war, is the lack of a Jewish connection. The core cast is the largest Jewish cast ever assembled for a World War II film, but the film itself doesn’t touch on the Holocaust. Concentration camp liberations took place in different parts of Germany than those traveled by the Fury tank, and by placing that tank in the middle of such liberations, the film would have irked those viewers who strive for accuracy. Yet the film’s need to be historically sound when it comes to the tank’s journey comes at a major cost—omitting the brunt of the Holocaust from World War II.

As for the members of the cast, the only religion whispered is Christianity, as Boyd (nicknamed Bible) occasionally gives last rites to fallen soldiers. The Jewish background of LaBeouf, Lerman, Bernthal, and Jason Isaacs (appearing in a minor role as a captain) doesn’t carry through to their characters. Additionally, the colors of the tracer rounds detract from the viewing experience. The red and green ammunition volleying back and forth during the battle scenes recall laser gun battles from science-fiction films of yore, even if they are meant to delineate between the Allies and the German forces.

“Fury” is a blistering war film at its heart. It’s masculine, unflinching, and uncomfortable to watch at times—in line with the nature of war—but focuses on just a small part of the larger picture of World War II.

    Doesn’t occur to this low iq yidiot, that there are literally hundreds of holocrock movies… there’s no need to inject that filth into everything.
    Not that it means anything to me… I haven’t been to the movies in almost 2 decades and haven’t watched tv from ages. I would never give even a single penny to these disgusting satanic pieces of garbage aka hollywood/media.

  3. My father spoke on the war many Saturday nights, after a few drinks of course. My first boss was a German soldier, who joined in what at the time seemed like immense fun in Paris. My father had a dim view of a victorious soldier’s son being employed by a defeated soldier, in the victorious soldier’s country. Both soldiers knew the whole war was a dodgy affair but survived it as if it was a rough football game. It was the sixties when history got the big rewrite and hence the reverence for N. Mailer and the exploits of world traveling revolutionaries. I am going to thank God for first hand war sources as good info is hard to come by.

  6. To be honest, it still sounds better than95% of the dreck out there. Taking the historical omissions into account, it will be interesting to watch on my PC. Who pays $$ for these things any how? Those big screen theatres leave me deaf for hours ~ guess my rock concert days are finally making me pay the price…
    Personally I think it would be fine to watch a war movie without references to the “biggest tragedy ever to take place in the entire universe” for once. War movies were produced for decades without reference to the event so why now must it be the focus of movies now? What I want to see is a movie of a young family during the bombing of Dresden and how that event forced them to change or adapt.
    When you are risking multiple millions of $$ on a movie production it is wrong to have to please one small mouthy part of the audience but we must also remember, for an American movie to get the perks of military production (realistic big booms and action) the video must be fully approved by all branches of the American military, final ok/veto and/or corrections from the Navy.

    “Fury” opened in US theatres 17 Oct 2014. Since then, I have waited 17 long days for some Jew ass—e to whine that the movie isn’t centered in the holo-hoax.
    Now the whining has finally begun. (Whew!)
    In the article above, the Jew commentator says, “What detracts from the film is the lack of a Jewish connection.”
    Actually the film is quite Jewish in its tone and outlook.
    Consider its elements…
    The tank crew includes one new member who has been a clerk-typist up to this point in the war. This new member, Norman Ellison (played by Jewish actor Logan Lerman) symbolically represents the Jew in the group. He is more “scholarly” (i.e. mentally superior) than the others, but he is not yet a sociopath, and therefore not yet a full Jew. He has not yet won his murderous “Jew wings.” He does not yet worship violence and bloodshed. He does not yet justify his murderous self-indulgence as “defensive.” He does not yet pose as a “victim” while he slaughters his victims.
    However, through the course of the movie, he becomes more and more bloodthirsty, until, toward the end, he screams “Fucking Nazis!” as he mows down Germans by the hundreds. He has finally matured into a full-fledged member of the Chosen, and become part of “the world’s most moral army.” Later he will be the only member of the tank crew to survive the war.
    You have heard the expression, “coming-of-age story.” “Fury” is a “coming-of-Jew story.”
    The rest of the crew members have already become Jews. We know this because their humor is adolescent and scatological, with fag jokes, pussy jokes and other manifestations of cruelty and insecurity. As symbolic Jews, their self-indulgence is extreme. They shoot unarmed POWs in the back, and commit myriad atrocities, while justifying their crimes as being righteous and necessary for the “greater good.” They “fight fascism with fascism” while calling themselves “God’s soldiers” (i.e. the Chosen).
    The Germans represent Goyim — i.e. pure evil. And like the Goyim, the Germans are not evil because of what they do, but because of what they are. At one point the Germans even become Palestinians. The action is set in Germany, and as our Jewish heroes mow the Germans down, one German cries out, “This is our land!” This enrages the murderous Americans all the more.
    “Fury” reveals the absolute Judification of US society today. Past movies about WW II portrayed US personnel as being far more humane that they actually were. Today’s movies about WW II revel in gratuitous atrocities, while calling it “righteous” — just like Jews whenever they bombard Gaza.
    The tank itself is a Jew. Despite being weak and inferior (an M4 Sherman) it prevails over Tiger I’s, which represent the Goyim. In real life, a Tiger I would have shredded any Sherman tank it encountered, just as Hezbollah shreds any Jewish ground troops that invade Lebanon. (Incidentally, Tiger II’s also operated on the Western Front. Their 88 mm KwK 43 L/71 gun was the most powerful on any tank during WW II.)
    The Tiger I is Goliath. The Sherman tank is the Jew David, who with his little slingshot bravely kills Goliath, hacks off Goliath’s head, and carries the head around with him, parading it all the way back to Jerusalem, as described in the Old Testament.
    Today, no one makes the connection between Goliath and Palestinians, even though the Jewish Book of Samuel says Goliath was a Palestinian. Such is the Jew-worship of western society. Indeed, in Hebrew and Arabic, “Philistine” literally means Palestinian. English speakers use the Semitic word “philistine” to refer to someone who is stupid, crude, and inferior — i.e. Goy-like.
    Finally a land mine disables the mighty Jew-tank, whereon hundreds of crack, battle-hardened SS troops converge on it. As symbolic Jews, our “heroes” righteously slaughter most of the SS commandoes, just like the Jew Mordecai slaughtered 75,000 Iranians in the Biblical Book of Esther.
    In “Fury,” actor Brad Pitt reprises his roll as a Jew-loving sociopath that he played in “Inglourious Basterds” (2009).
    This is to be expected. Pitt is married to actress Angelina Jolie, whose father, actor John Voight, is ultra-pro-Israel. When it comes to defending Jewish atrocities, Voight is a frothing-at-the-mouth fanatic. During the Jews’ latest bombardment of Gaza, he furiously attacked anyone in the movie industry who did not support the genocide.
    Voight was not born a Jew, and this seems to cause him endless anguish. He suffers from a mental illness known as PEP syndrome (Progressive-Except-for-Palestine.) Like all people who are plagued by this crippling malady, Voight supports most leftist and progressive causes, but he is more Zionist that any Jew when it comes to Israel. He a right-wing psychopath. At pro-Israel rallies, he physically shakes with rage as he blasts all who dare question Jewish superiority. (If you doubt this, go to YouTube and enter the search words “John Voight Israel.”)
    Evidently his illness has infected his son in law, Brad Pitt.
    Incidentally, “Saving Private Ryan” was not centered on the holo-hoax either. But Jews forgave this, because Steven Spielberg had previously done “Schindler’s List” (based on a FICTION NOVEL). Also, the Judification of Western society was not quite as absolute as it is today.
    P.S. “Fury” is not popular in England. British bed-wetters like to think they alone defeated National Socialist Germany, but in “Fury,” only the Americans get the glory. The little Brit creeps ignore the fact that many WW II films featured only British actions.

  9. I am also glad that I have not been at the movies for so long time may be almost two decades. I am not paying a penny to those bloody murderers who control our government, the news media, Hollywood etc….We need to work hard to open people’s eyes. I am glad that many people already know the truth of what its happening right now.

  10. ‘Oy vey, dey left out the most impoaht’nt part o’ da war!’ Says the screeching hand wringing jew. I am not going to watch this. The last of these jew worshiping propaganda pieces I watched was ‘Saving Private Ryan’. And that was enough! From then on I lost interest in most of Hollywood Flicks with the exception of Star Trek , Star Wars and the J.R. Tolkien Series ‘Lord of the Rings’. I like Westerns, but even the majority of these of recent lore are more jewish bullshit. Take for example the homo pushing ‘Brokeback Mountain’ WTF???
