  1. The ill logic of US independence shines strongly in your comments, MG.
    It seems that US independence – a most sacred thing to Americans from infancy on – is dependent on other nations being subordinate to, and dependent on, the US.
    That logic sounds familiar. From the Christian Holy Bible (Deuteronomy, Chapter 20, Verses 10-11):
    “When thou comest nigh unto a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it.
    And it shall be, if it make thee answer of peace, and open unto thee, then it shall be, that all the people that is found therein shall be tributaries unto thee, and they shall serve thee.”
    For the USA, it seems that “the old-time religion” holds sway.
    All the way with Yahweh! Eh?
