“Week after top Hezbollah commander killed, terror group chief says Israelis ‘hiding like rats’ at northern border, and ‘they should be worried’.

TIMES OF ISRAEL

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday warned that a retaliation for the assassination of Samir Kuntar last week attributed to Israel will “inevitably come,” saying Israelis should be afraid both in the country, along the border, and abroad

In a lengthy televised address marking a week since the death of archterrorist freedom fighter Kuntar, Nasrallah vowed the Lebanon-based terror group would respond to the killing regardless of the “repercussions,” and likened Israeli soldiers on the northern border to “rats.

“The retaliation to Samir’s assassination will inevitably come,” he said, according to a translation by Lebanese news site Naharnet.”The Israelis are worried and they should be worried along the border, inside Israel and outside of it… The Israelis are hiding like rats along the border.”

Nasrallah said the response was “now up to the resistance fighters.”

“We do not fear any repercussions or threats and we cannot tolerate that the blood of our jihadist fighters and brother be shed anywhere in this world,” he added.

Nasrallah also appeared to corroborate claims by Israel that Hezbollah was operating on the Syrian Golan Heights.

“When the activities of the resistance started near the Golan, Israel grew very anxious, and it started retaliating in a disproportionate manner to any shelling or gunfire on the border, even if it did not cause casualties,” he said.

The Hezbollah leader also praised the spate of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis since October, and hailed Kuntar, who served nearly three decades in an Israeli prison for his part in the brutal 1979 murders of a Nahariya family.

“As we commemorate Kuntar, we must revive the spirit of sacrifice, because this is a key condition for the rise of the people, the persistence of resistance and the creation of the future,” he said. “After he was freed from prison, Samir could have lived a normal life among his family and friends, and he could have stayed in the axis of resistance without getting involved militarily, but he refused to do so.”

With regard to the Palestinians, Nasrallah said they should not wait for Saudi-style intervention like in Yemen or an “Islamic military alliance for combating terrorism.”

He also said that if “all efforts in Syria, Iraq and other countries where conflicts are taking place were joined together, the Israeli entity would be wiped out,” according to Hezbollah’s Al-Manar channel.

On Saturday night, Syrian media reported that Israeli warplanes hit Hezbollah targets in the Qalamoun area of Syria in a series of at least seven airstrikes. Hezbollah denied the reports.

The reported strikes came less than a week after Hezbollah-allied terrorist Kuntar was killed in an explosion in his Damascus home, which has been attributed to Israel. Kuntar’s death was followed within hours by rocket strikes from Lebanon on the northern Israeli city of Nahariya.

Israel has warned Hezbollah not to respond to Kuntar’s death. Foreign officials also warned the Lebanon-based terror group that seeking retaliation for Kuntar’s killing could prompt a crushing Israeli response.

Hezbollah said Kuntar was killed along with eight others in an overnight Saturday airstrike on a residential building in Jaramana, on the outskirts of the Syrian capital of Damascus.

  1. The absolute best response Hezbollah can give is to continue to destroy the ISISraeli mossaderate army in Syria. ISISrael would like nothing better than to distract Hezbollah from that mission.

  2. Last week, Palestinian refugees in Lebanon buried their hero Samir el-Kuntar, who was martyred by a missile fired from an Israeli F16 donated by US taxpayer on December 20, 2015. Kuntar spent 29 years in Israeli jail for murdering a European Jew terrorist in Palestine. Kuntar, a Lebanese Druze, was a member of Popular Front for the Liberation Palestine (PFLP), a Marxist militia, established by Palestinian Christian Dr. George Habash (d. 2008).
At the time of his martyrdom, he was leading a group of PFLP fighters fighting along with Syrian army along Syrian-Israel border.
Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, secretary general of Lebanese Islamic Resistance Hizbullah in a message on the martyrdom of Samir el-Kuntar called Israeli soldiers cowards. He was referring to the way Israeli soldiers ran out of Southern Lebanon in 2000, and Israeli army’s humiliation during 54-day war in 2006. In both cases, like Samir Kuntar’s assassination, the Jewish army used its airpower instead of fighting Muslims and Christians on ground.
“The retaliation to Samir’s assassination will inevitably come. The Israelis are worried, and they should be worried – along the border, inside Israel and outside of it. We do not fear any repercussions or threats, and we cannot tolerate that the blood of our freedom-fighters and brother be shed anywhere in this world,” Nasrallah said at a memorial event at a hall in Dahieh in a televised address.
Though the Jewish media in the West is trying to minimize Nasrallah threat based on the assumption that Hizbullah fighters are pre-occupied fighting ISIL militants led by Mossad agent Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi aka Elliott Shimon. However, Israeli press is paranoid by Nasrallah warning.
Israeli daily Yediot Ahronot mentioned that if Hizbullah follows the current rules of engagement, revenging el-Kuntar’s assassination is matter of time, expecting that the party would launch a ground attack on the Israeli sites on the Palestinian northern border.
Israeli daily Ynet quoted a Zionist military officer as saying that Hizbullah has become an army that is capable of battling ferociously, adding that all the measures taken by the Israeli army on the border will not prevent Hizbullah from attacking the entity.
Likud linked Jerusalem Post revealed that martyr el-Kuntar managed to establish in Syria’s Golan a military resistance group that coordinates its activities with Hizbullah and Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force. Describing it as major Israeli intelligence achievement, the paper added that el-Kuntar assassination responded to his possible future schemes, not his past attacks, against the Zionist entity.
Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson, Hossein Jaber Ansari condemned the assassination of el-Kuntar, calling it state terrorism.

  3. I hope Hezbollah won’t limit themselves only to Israeli citizens. It’s the huge sums of money, arms and political support from abroad that makes Israel a superpower. Without the help from abroad Israel would not have 1/10 the strength it has. People like Sheldon Adelson should be considered when they take revenge.

  4. #3Peter… If Hezbollah took out a target like Adelson or Soros, the JWO elitists would be crawling under rocks most pronto… They don’t like it when you cut off one of the heads of the hydra…
