HAARETZ – Facebook has shut down Pamela Geller’s “Stop Islamization of America” page on the site, sparking accusations from the controversial anti-Islam activist that the social networking site was “enforcing Sharia” in the wake of the mass shooting in the Orlando gay club that left at least 50 dead and 53 wounded.
Geller announced on her website that Facebook administrators sent her a standard message: “The group ‘Stop islamization of America’ has been removed because it violated our Terms of Use.
Among other things, groups that are hateful, threatening, or obscene are not allowed.”
Geller, a very controversial and well-known anti-Islam activist, said her page had over 55,000 members and has been live since 2010.
