Every year the situation there worsens. The occupiers thumb their hook noses at the entire world, all the while building more ‘Settlement’ colonies like a hive of out of control termites. Their cold calculated ruthlessness knows no bounds. Somehow they have been able to do this with such bold and cruel ‘efficacy’ against all wishes of the majority of which consists an estimated global population of over 7 billion inhabitants. Something is definitely wrong with this sad picture. Something has GOT to give and soon!
After Operation Cast Lead things were dire. One wondered where the people would go to survive the winters. They crowded in wherever they could and families separated to make arrangements if need be. Often the men stay on the streets so their families can shelter with already over crowded relatives.
But after every slaughter and ruin, there are fewer options left available because the building never took place to ease the situation. People did not invest in Gaza because they knew Israel would commit more crimes of destruction eventually and the money would be wasted. Clever Palestinians took loans from Hamas and built fine mud homes which were most likely destroyed once again by Israel. Mud homes cost a few thousand to build and are as elegant as the builder’s skills and imagination. Back to the effing stone ages.
Things are worse. This last slaughter was supposed to result in more open borders and freer exchange of goods. Things were promised ~ and instead been reneged upon. I am inclined to hold Hamas to blame just as much for the situation of the people of Palestine at the moment and certainly expect more of them than we have seen so far in dealing with those who were victimized.

The time has come to face the fact!
