It is hard to counter the proposition that these “scandals” involving top war criminals at the helm of Western powers are nothing but cleverly fabricated escape valves to let the public vent on meaningless issues while the global plunder, wars, mayhem and slaughter go on.
Can’t you just hear them at the Daily Mail:
“What do you mean you’ve got nothing for this edition? What?! Cameron did WHAT when he was in college? You call that nothing? Make it front page!”
And it worked … “The Social Media has erupted into a storm under the hashtag #Piggate.”
There was something about Israel being worried about something that Netanyahu was going to mention to Putin, and a bit about Syria on page 4 but who paid any attention? Cameron and a pig? Tell us more! Titillating? Salacious? Sick? All the better for an attention getter. The pigs are us and the hasbara purveyors don’t throw pearls before us.
