Hey Mark you know I live here in Venezuela and you know how things have developed for the worse since the passing of comandante Chavez; the imf or whoever it is, supported by the u.s. done running this country broke. they want it badly now that they discovered the richest oil reserves in the planet.
There are no dollars. things are bad here.
But, the good news is that the offer I made you once about a piece of land in Ramallah still stands, I swear to God, man.
the hard part is that Palestine needs to get liberated or maybe a peace deal that gives me and the rest of us living in this ugly diaspora the opportunity to go home.
the Jews wont even give us the 18 percent that comprises the west bank and Gaza.
It would be a honor to have you build a small chateau next to mine so we could sit there in the evenings and sip on tea and smoke some apple flavored argyle.
At night, I could see the lights of El Lod and Ramleh in the horizon when I was there. You can even see the Mediterranean in clear days.. you should see Palestine in spring time as the almond tree blossoms. or when its olive harvesting time in December; the olive trees smile at you after the first rains wash clean their leaves. My house is ready, its me there who it needs. but they kicked me out.
regardless of our differences in regards to Syria, the land is sitting there and I will never renege even if it reaches a million dollars a dunum, which it did for a while. I got twenty dunum.
Palestine awaits us, mark. Jerusalem is one hour away from my house and Bethlehem right next to it.
I will never lose hope. I got the keys with me.

ed note–as a matter of fact, I do indeed do it ‘for nuthin’. I don’t get a dime for my appearances, and truth be told am still about $500 in the hole from the trip to Iran I made last month, so how about you just find a nice spot on my ass to kiss.
