@ Human Melody – bless you for remembering Aafia Siddiqui. She has haunted me for years. This story is deeply depressing. Recently I saw a blog post whose author was enraged that some people have called for mercy for “Lady Al-Qaida.”
The corporate media claims that (the mythical) “ISIS” offered to trade James Foley (who faked his own “beheading”) in exchange for Ms. Siddiqui. The media spread this lie so that the public would equate Ms. Siddiqui with the evil “ISIS.”
Also, Ms. Siddiqui was initially charged with trying to escape US custody and with trying to shoot a US soldier who held her captive. Now right-wingers claim that she was plotting a massive biological warfare attack on the USA.
Since the USA is a 100% Jewish nation, Ms. Siddiqui enraged the American public by asking that her jury not include any Jews. “If they have a Zionist or Israeli background, they are all mad at me,” she told Judge Richard Berman (JEW) who responded by booting her from the courtroom.

I did try to stay in touch with the development of the Aafia case — in the chronology you mentioned. So, I couldn’t help but think that there must be something really disturbing why she withdrew her case. It’s as if I heard a heavy door slam on justice … wherein every passing day, to know this and to live on would only be living with a [yet more] compromised conscience/ soul/ faith on my part. I’m inclined to this stance : Aafia was a ‘ritual’. [The Zionists are probably challenging Imam Mahdi to come and save her! … And the ISIS trade-offer (like you so accurately inferred) was not only to color her in terrorist tones … but also to convince some Muslim groups that ISIS are actually heroes!
