What rubbish! Nothing could be more anti-democratic than the Old Testament. It was written by Bronze Age goat herders who worshiped an angry tribal deity that demanded periodic bloodletting to appease its anger. It also commanded rape, robbery and land theft. America has become obsessed with the Old Testament and it’s destroying us.
And for those who claim America was founded on “Christian principals,” I’d like to know which one of Jesus’ teachings are we talking about? Turn the other cheek? Love your enemies? Sell your possessions and give the money to the poor? Cut off your hands and pluck out your eyes? America doesn’t practice any of those.
