Photos show desperate conditions endured by migrant labourers forced to work in 50C (over 120F) heat for a pittance

  • Photographer Farhad Berahman’s striking photos document the lives of South Asian labourers who travel to Dubai

  • They live in squalid conditions, work in searing heat and often cannot leave as their employers keep their passports

OCDG: Now maybe this isn’t directly related to our mission but it sure bears mentioning : UAE of which Dubai is one emirate, is just from this one article, in no way shape or form an “Islamic” country. In fact, the sorts of statements being made mirror that of the satanic state of israel; the same condiditions and the abject treatment of the “lesser” as well as confiscation of passports.

  1. On transit from another country, I stepped off the plane into a bus for the Dubai terminal. The wind was like a blowtorch and the temperature may very well have been hovering around 50 degrees C. It was so hot as to be totally unbearable. I frankly do not know how humans can work in such a places and under such horrible conditions and survive. It’s a testimony to the individual’s love and caring for their families that must keep them going day after day. I cannot/could not understand it.

  2. I wonder why none of those so called free press of any of the Western countries, specially the US media ever print any thing about this kind of modern slavery in the puppet island of Dubai!!….

I am sure if Dubai was not ruled by a puppet & corrupt ruler then all the news media would had focused on them. I am sure if such things happen in Iran, Russia, N.Korea or Syria, then all the Western news media will be talking about them….

  3. Dubai.like all of the Gulf States are Rothschilds,International Jew collaborators. Extremist, authoriterian, there is not a peep of bad mainstream press about them,or “Arab Springs”.

  4. Only angry words come from my heart. Slavery is a major problem today. Human trafficking is a crime and should be exposed. The UN had a major conference on this in September 2013 and yet this goes on and the photos speak so loud. The UN needs to live in these conditions and sweat their faces off. Has anyone seen the conditions in their own city deteriating? The gap between the rich and the poor (working class) is so wide! Thank you OCG.

  5. I don’t mean to drag this topic on, but I really believe this is so important. Why can’t this so called pope who is supposedly representing the Teachings of Jesus speak at the UN and have his voice heard all over? Instead, he has the media doing his dirty laundry and print his words which are meaningless. Here is an article relating to Slavery and Human Traffiking which he speaks against but only to those who will print the words of this soulless pope.

  6. Those poor brethren from South Asia their lot has to change along with the Southeast Asian brethren/sisterhood who work on consumer goods for the world. There should be a collective standard that is upheld otherwise monetary shame on all those countries and their modern day slavery. Their products should be boycotted whether they deal with tourism, sneakers, or electronics.
