THE TEMPLE WILL NEVER STAND AGAIN!

ISRAEL NATIONAL NEWS – I hope the headline gave you a  BIG shock to the system!

On Sunday we begin the Three Weeks of Mourning over the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash (Holy Temple) and it is certainly a challenge for many people out there.

On the one hand the religion demands that we “mourn”, but on the other hand, we do nothing to try to get out of the cycle of mourning.

I am sure many religious Jews are asking themselves the following questions:

-48 years after the 1967 6 Days War, why are still “mourning”?!

-Are we really waiting for a building to drop down from the heavens?

-Will prayer and good deeds alone build the Temple?

-How does helping the old lady cross the street and giving charity to the poor (all BIG Mitzvot) build the Temple?

-Will Ahavat Chinam (Free Love) and removal of hatred alone build the Temple?

-Did the State of Israel pop out from the sand dunes all by itself?

-Did millions of Jews come back to Israel on magic carpets?

Answer: OF COURSE NOT!

All this happened via intense prayer and even more intense ACTION because Judaism means DOING, we don’t wait for the Almighty to do commandments for us, and we must do as much as we can within the constraints that are presented before us.

Have we become a nation of masochists? Do we like to simply afflict ourselves for three weeks a year for no reason???

Let me let you in on a little secret that unless we restore our rights and pride on the Temple Mount “THE TEMPLE WILL NEVER STAND AGAIN”!

Let those words burn in your hearts and minds! Unless WE take ACTION all our prayers and fasting for Temple restoration ARE MEANINGLESS and “THE TEMPLE WILL NEVER STAND AGAIN”!  Action must go hand in hand with prayer and prayer must go hand in hand with action and one without the other simply does NOT work! This concept is found directly in the Talmud, please see Mesechet Nidda 70b.  I am not making this stuff up,

I will be focusing heavily during the 3 Weeks to promote the Temple Mount Congress. This first historic TEMPLE MOUNT CONGRESS will aim to unite existing Temple Mount organizations with like minded organizations in Israel and around the world to create a powerful force for our rights on the Temple Mount like the Zionist Congress of 1897 did for our rights to the Land of Israel. We have a broad vision for general worldwide elections, to allow cities with Jewish populations to elect representatives to the congress, thus making it a true project of the people.

The sages set up the three weeks to intensify our yearning for the Temple, which is why the processes of mourning is reverse of when we mourn a person. When we mourn a person, we start very intense and we slowly remove the restrictions, but the three weeks is the opposite, we start light and go heavy. Mourning for a person is to help you get over the loss, but the opposite is true with the Temple, there IS NO GETTING OVER IT.

Let us begin this great process by restoring Jewish rights on the Temple Mount without the Temple Mount in “Our Hands” there will never be a Temple or even the holy altar, which can be built without the rest of the Temple standing, please see the Rambam Hilchot Beit HaBechira 6:15.
