ed note–since I have been asked this same question often as of late, I will reprint here my most recent response that should pretty much sum it all up for everyone here at the website–
As you doubtless know already, I have a rather large family–wife and 10 kids, 9 of them still at home–which for obvious reasons requires quite a bit of $ to maintain, even at the most elementary and rudimentary level. As a writer, speaker, commentator, etc, my ability to earn even the most modest income doing this very dark and dangerous work has now been whittled down to almost nothing. The ‘movement’, however we want to characterize it, has in large part devolved into a collection of mentally imbalanced individuals who flit from issue to issue, whatever happens to tickle their fancy at that moment, irrespective of whether it is relevant, accurate, or even true, and therefore, this ‘movement’, having acquired an appetite for ‘odd knowledge’, means that those of us such as myself, Mark Dankof, E. Michael Jones, and even the late, great, and irreplaceable Michael Collins Piper find ourselves unable to make ends meet when we are trying to cater to a readership/listenership that is easily swayed/seduced by a pound of Pyrite Iron (fool’s gold) rather than a few small nuggets of the ‘real deal’. All of the aforementioned persons (and several others, by the way not mentioned) are all in the same boat, in that they/we find it somewhere between difficult and impossible to work in such an environment of anti-intellectualism and at the same time to make ends meet. Furthermore, many of those with whom I worked closely, including several who did their own programs on TUT, had ‘personal issues’ of their own that eventually resulted in them having meltdowns that resulted in them walking away from it all, the most recent one being Dante, who–not liking an article written by Paul Craig Roberts that appeared on the website dealing with German banks imposing austerity measures on Greece–accused yours truly of being a secret Mossad agent, as well as other ridiculous accusations, some of which appeared in an email from him copied below–
‘The stories against Germany is about there history from the Dai!y Mail and more Jewish sources such as Couterpunch.
Many are offended ,and you added this .

So, the long and short of it is that–at least for the moment–I am done with all of this. I have put myself and my family in serious harm’s way doing what I have done now for years, only to now be robbed of my ability to earn even a rudimentary income for the benefit of those out there in this ‘movement’ who really don’t give a damn about anything of any real importance. People such as yourself–intelligent, conscientious, and concerned–run very few in number and unfortunately this small number does not have the influence, strength or cohesiveness necessary to sustain those of us out on the battlefield, using our real names, real faces, real voices, etc. In the various conversations I have had with Mark Dankof, EMJ, and even those I had with MCP before his passing a year ago, the ‘movement’ does not exist anymore and those of us who try to maintain a higher standard are dinosaurs. If MCP’s situation tells us anything, it is that the best and brightest of us–and MCP certainly was–will be tossed out into the street after decades of selfless, faithful service.

@Mark, WOW, so Dante went full retard! Not that surprising really, hard to trust anybody these days. I understand and respect your decision. All the best to you and yours. Thanks.
ed note–Thank you GP. And to be fair, Dante never went ‘retard’. He–by his own admission to me personally–suffers from several mental conditions for which he has been diagnosed and is treated by a doctor. He had a rough life growing up and it took its toll on him.
And for the record, I am not ‘quitting’ per se, just catching my breath and figuring out the best way to move forward with this while at the same time keeping as much distance between myself and the ‘biters’.
