  1. The issue here is that science and technology are subservient to the money power. All science and technology need finance, so any science/technology can be blocked or approved by those in control of finance.
I wish it were unbelievable that scientists and technologists would willingly work towards developing a weapon that can cause a tsunami to happen with the intention of devastating cities.
Sadly, it is completely believable. Should such scientists and technologists be seen as servants of the common good? Or as traitors to the common good? Or as servants of the money power? Or as slaves of the money power?
Mirror mirror on the wall: Who is the free-est of us all?
That’s easy to answer: If you have the money you can do anything you like.
The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion repeatedly indicate that their primary weapon against Gentile nations is liberty or freedom which they intend to cultivate intensively until they achieve power in a nation after which all such indulgences will be extinguished.
We Gentiles need to understand that the concept of liberty or freedom is an oxymoron. It has two meanings which are mutually antagonistic.
The first meaning is: the right to do whatever you want.
The second meaning is: the right not to be abused by others.
From a moral (benevolent) point of view, the second meaning must have priority over the first meaning.
In the monetary world in which we live, the first meaning has priority over the second meaning. Just look at all the abuse going on in our world. Think Palestine. Think the Congo. Think Afghanistan, Think Iraq, Think Libya, Think … !
If you have the money you can do anything – even develop tsunami generators.
    What can one say?

  2. The author writes in a sleight of hand way, that is, he wants a sensational story, but doesn’t want many thinking about it, who would then suddenly realise the vast potential the principle has in the present day of creating a supermassive tsunami hitherto unknown in nature.
Piecing the deliberately scattered bits together, one can see that 10 bombs, each 200kgs of conventional explosive, placed in a array, at a depth not specified, produced a tsunami of height 33ft.
That mass of explosive is already 2ktn.
However, city killer nuclear weapons are vastly more compact, and easily surpass that power by any order of magnitude selected; let’s say 50megaton TNT equivalent.
That makes it 25,000 times more powerful that the 2ktn arrayed in small parcels in 1944 which produced the 33ft high tsunami.
    So, what if . . . I think I’d better stop.
