A Bafta award-winning production company has been appointed to record the testimony of Holocaust survivors as part of David Cameron’s Shoah education initiative.
Atlantic Productions, makers of shows including Inside the Commons, David Attenborough Meets President Obama, and Kingdom of Plants, will collect the stories of up to 100 survivors in early 2016.
It has already filmed more than 20 survivors and concentration camp liberators using 3D and future-proofed technology to ensure the stories can be played to new generations.
It is part of the UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation (UKHMF) project, led by the Prime Minister, to ensure Shoah education continues in Britain for years to come.
Newsreader and presenter Natasha Kaplinsky has led the interviews with survivors who had previously never told their stories.
The testimonies will be part of the new national Holocaust learning centre due to open in London in 2020.
Atlantic Productions’ chief executive Anthony Geffen said: “Our experience of storytelling using the very latest 3D and virtual reality technology will allow us to capture these testimonies in a whole new way.
“We are working at the cutting edge of technology alongside UKHMF to ensure that this irreplaceable content is always accessible and recorded in the richest possible detail.”
Aviva Trup, Jewish Care’s Holocaust Survivors Services manager, said: “We have 25 years of experience at the centre in supporting Holocaust survivors to cope with their past.
“Telling their story and keeping their legacy alive is important for so many of our members.”
Further foundation developments are expected to be announced in early 2016.

Clearly Cameron wishes to male his legacy well rounded by adding to it his role as a Mecenas of the arts. In a country as rich in literary tradition as Britain it is not easy to find a less trodden path so I think he was clever to pick the Horror Fiction genre. It is commendable that he encourages new writers: “survivors who had previously never told their stories.”
The fact that the “holocaust” is massively over-represented in the horror fiction genre should only serve as a challenge to the new writers’ imagination powers.
Pity the competition is not open to all talented Stephen King wannabes — it is restricted to one ethno-religious group.
A people that can believe these obvious lies and are too scared to even rationally think about them deserves jewish treatment.
They should put that scary-looking bloodsucker out of the country for criminal deception and inciting hatred. The teeth of a tapeworm would suit his face perfectly.
What’s his story for dodging the non-existent gas chambers I wonder?
Please scroll down to the film in this article of hologram holocaust remembrances.
That cartoon “MR WEASEL’S MIRACULOUS GEYSERS OF BLOOD” brilliantly exposes an absurd falsehood – even more absurd than Herman Rosenblat’s “Angel at the Fence”. Rosenblat’s falsehood was at least physically possible, although situationally unbelievable. That he was exposed by fellow Jews is actually heartening to a naive soul like myself.
Elie Wiesel deserves to be famous for getting away with false witness of such extremity.
But is he the greatest of all of the false witnesses?
Perhaps a competition should be run with a big cash prize for the winner.
Seriously though, there are many documented statements by witnesses that are provably impossible.
A collection of cartoons reducing each false witness statement to absurdity would be invaluable.

Remember “Angel at the Fence” Rosenblatt saying:
“It wasn’t a lie. It was my imagination. And in my imagination, in my mind, I believed it. Even now, I believe it, In my imagination, it was true.”
