SAVE ALIVE NOTHING – Deuteronomy 20:16 (17)
“But of the cities of these people, which the LORD thy God doth give thee for an
inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:”
Verse 17 names six different tribes of people that committed excessive
wickedness; they killed children, sodomy, bestiality and honored their own
gods. The old testament Israelites were the instruments of divine justice. This
form of cruel justice pressed upon God’s people how he hates these forms of
sin. God was saying to them that this is a warning to THEM ALSO if they go into
iniquity.
Don’t take this warning lightly. We are seeing this same type
wickedness in this generation and again he will rise up a cruel instrument for his
punishment. First God gives a warning: Deuteronomy 20:10, as with the case
with Rahab and her household that were spared. God destroyed the political
existence they were under in these cities.

Why biblical faith & belief still alive for millions of people? Because the Christian faith gets at the root cause of men & women’s base condition and that is selfishness and sin. Humans are rebellious by nature.
We believe that God put in motion the standard for living. He made covenants with the ancients written about in the Old Testament. The Lord God’s purpose of giving the law was to cause “righteousness & holy” living in the peoples lives, but ultimately the law did not imprint the hearts of men & women and they continued in disobedience and did great evil in God’s sight.
God sent the prophets to the Israelites to give warnings about their sinfulness and to turn back to God, but most willfully disobeyed & allowed themselves to be caught up in pagan rites & customs. Further, the Israelites were so wicked that they tortured and murdered the very prophets that God sent them.
When the Israelites were led off into captivities, they further adopted heathen practices, which included the detestable practice of infant & child sacrifice!
t was during these captivities that the Talmudic compilations & mystical Kabala writings were penned. The writings reveal how very ungodly the people had become. These religious collections display the collective spiral of evil and how they completely compromised every standard that God had set up. To this day the Talmud & Kabala are the life-blood of Judaism, not the law! How very evident thousands & thousands of years later that through the conditioning of Talmudic teachings & cultural influence, Jews are the product of not only evil practices, but also of supremacism.
