  1. Few in power want or chose to take an aerial view of things, especially those in media (almost all) who are entrenched handmaidens of the powerful. Not so for Thierry Meysson, for whom only an aerial view will do. This is a good read, and his summary on Hebdo is quite probably correct, and reminds me of the famous Italian saying, which should be repeated after the commission of any crime: Qui Bono? 2. It doesn’t matter who ordered the attack, for the perpetrators did it because they wanted to, sacrificing their own lives for what they believed to be the right thing to do.

That doesn’t make them good Muslims at all, or particularly religious ones either.

There is a big difference between the definitions of Orthodox, and Radical or Fundamentalist.

Here is a very well written article that is worth posting, normally I don’t like what comes out of the CBC, but this ones deserves to be seen and understood, because it is the truth. Thank you.

  3. While government officials and Muslim clerics in almost every Muslim country have condemned the Paris attacks – Meron Rapoport, a distinguished Israeli journalist said at the Middle East Eye that most Israeli leaders and public felt satisfaction over how the French were being punished.

“It cannot be denied that there was an amount of not so hidden satisfaction in Israel after the attacks in Paris, an attitude which could be summarised as “we told you so”. The attack on Charlie Hebdo offices – even more than the attack on the kosher grocery, which was seen as a “classical” act of anti-Semitism – is conceived by many in Israel as a confirmation of what they, Israelis, already “know” about Europe, but that Europeans themselves “failed” to understand because of their stubborn commitment to a pluralist society,” Rapoport said.

  4. It’s always a good idea to ask the question, “who profits?” when things like this occur.
